1- Visit the Charance estate.
Located just 11km from Camping Le Parc des Sérigons, this immense and wooded estate of 220 hectares offers many shaded walking trails, conducive to relaxation and daydreaming.
You can walk along it and enjoy an exceptional view of the city of Gap, sit by the lake, where time stands still…and observe the ducks, the fish, and immerse yourself in beauty and serenity.
You will then visit the castle and stroll through its terraced gardens, enjoying the delicate fragrance of 600 varieties of roses. Their intoxicating scents will remind you of rose gardens of yesteryear. These same gardens also showcase, in an original, harmonious, and dynamic way, a multitude of wild and cultivated plants: from the sweet rose of Rescht to the airy grace of grasses.
You will be amazed.
Plan a bucolic picnic in this exceptional, calm and relaxing setting and let yourself be lulled by the song of the cicadas and the gentle sound of running water.
It's the perfect place to recharge! Here, everything is calm, luxurious, and pleasurable…

2- Spend a day in Gap.
Start with a stroll through the markets! Gap offers several. Every Tuesday morning from April to October, there's the "Marché du Rochasson" (Rochasson Market), located in Place du Rochasson; every Wednesday morning throughout the year, the "Marché de Gap" (Gap Market) takes place in Place de la République; and every Saturday morning, the "Marché du samedi" (Saturday Market) is held around Place Jean Marcellin. At these three markets, you'll find not only local fruits and vegetables, spices, Provençal herbs, cheeses, olive oil, olives and tapenades, jams, and wine from the region's vineyards, but also local crafts: pottery, Provençal tablecloths, scented soaps, lavender sachets, and boutis (or "Marseille embroidery," listed as part of France's intangible cultural heritage since 2019). On Fridays, an organic market is also held on Avenue Jean Jaurès.

At midday, let yourself be tempted by traditional dishes and regional specialties, such as tournons, charcuterie, cheeses…or the famous “lamb of Sisteron” in the many restaurants offered in the old town.
